Attenborough is our Year 4 class.

In Year 4, children begin to think about the transition towards secondary school.  As well as becoming more reliant on their independence, children also take on more responsibilities.  This also leads to new opportunities that they can engage in.

In the core subjects, children begin to take control of their own learning, considering how they can help themselves to be better learners.  As well as engaging in class novels, children are also encouraged to embrace their own preferences in authors and genres.  This, in turn, impacts their style of writing as they learn who they are and how they can present things to different audiences.

In maths, children become more fluent in their manipulation of numbers.  Children also take part in the Multiplication Check in the summer; a quick recall of times table facts.  For more information, click here.
