Our Year 2 class is called Swift.

In Year 2, children learn great levels of independence as they prepare for moving in to Key Stage 2.  Lesson focus on supporting children to gain fluency and confidence in the skills they have already learnt in Reception and Year 1. 

Reading, writing and maths all focus on building upon children's knowledge.  In reading, they learn to become more fluent readers and begin to think about what they are reading.  In writing, children use their phonic skills to write and greater length and in different styles. In maths, they learn to maniuplate numbers to 100 and begin to lear about grouping and multiplication.
