Reinstatement of our allotment
Last week TGA was able to finally reinstate our allotment with the help from High Weald Partnership. Saul and his team worked through knee-deep brambles and tirelessly cleared the area for us to plant. Hanna, our forest school teacher, procured plants from B&Q at a discounted price and Pembury Community village Facebook group answered her plea and donated flowering plants.
Hannah, took each class and introduced them to the allotment area, where they in turn, planted and watered the plants in their dedicated class bed.
Anthony Class will be watering the the plants and keeping a watch on the growth. Each week during forest school sessions, the children will be able to admire their efforts and with a little hope we should reap the rewards with some vegetables at the end of term.
