Easter Celebrations at TGA
Back
To help our pupils celebrate Easter, we took part in a variety of activities.
On Thursday, the whole school went to St Philip's Church for a special Easter Assembly. As part of this Grace and one of our members of staff (who shall remain nameless!) took part in an egg and spoon race. The race wasn't as fair as you might think. Em and Rich also told us about how Christians believe Jesus came to die on the cross to save humanity. They demonstrated this with dustbins.
Back at school, each class took it in turns to hunt for Easter eggs on the playground. Once they had collected the correct amount, they were able to exchange them for a real Easter egg to take home which were generously donated by local business. Many thanks to the office team for organising and running this.
In the afternoon, we also held an Easter Bingo and raffle. Parents and carers joined the fun with their children with shouts of 'Bingo' and 'Full House' being heard throughout the afternoon.
