Some of our Year 6 pupils recently experienced an exciting adventure. Ten of our bright young minds embarked on a journey to City University, London, opening their eyes to the wonders of higher education.

The day was filled with surprises, from navigating London's bustling transport system to exploring the impressive university campus. Our pupils were amazed by the sheer scale of the university, learning it houses 20,000 students - equivalent to 100 Temple Grove Schools!

The highlight was undoubtedly the hands-on activities. Our budding scientists marvelled at 3D printers, VR headsets, and even an earthquake machine. They participated in a flood prevention challenge, constructing miniature defences to protect paper houses.

This visit has ignited a spark in our pupils. Many, inspired by the experience, now aspire to attend university in the future. It's heartening to see their enthusiasm for learning and their growing ambitions.

I'm immensely proud of our pupils' conduct and engagement throughout the trip. My sincere thanks go to Mr Thorpe, Professor Stallebrass, Miss Vaughan, and the university staff for making this invaluable experience possible.
