The Queen’s Platinum Jubilee
This week we celebrated the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee in some style!
To honour the occasion all children arrived in a mixture of reds, whites and blues. The hall was a vibrant mix of these colours! Whilst in the hall, the children waved flags and sang the National Anthem. It was evident that the children had been practising the anthem as they sang tremendously.
We then had lovely picnic on the school field. Thankfully the sun came out just in time and the children had a wonderful time on their picnic rugs and throws!
Mr Miles then arranged an afternoon of different games and activities linked to the Queen and British history. Children rotated classes so got the opportunity to be taught by different teachers. Activities ranged from making crowns, creating images of the queen and playing traditional games on the playground.
Each child should have arrived home with a medal. If your child was absent on the day, we have spares in school!
Have a lovely half term,
