Welcome to Temple Grove Academy

Welcome to Temple Grove Academy, the first primary school of Temple Grove Academy Trust in Tunbridge Wells. We hope that you will enjoy visiting our website and that it provides you with an insight into our vibrant and happy nursery and primary school. TGA staff are caring, experienced and committed to meeting the individual needs of every child through a happy, secure environment.

Home/Academy Agreement

As an academy, we all must strive to work together for the best, possible outcomes for all of our pupils.

 
Parent/Carers shall endeavour to: -


See that my child attends the academy regularly, on time and properly equipped. 
Make the academy aware of any concerns or problems that might affect my child’s learning. 
Support the Academy’s aims and policies. 
Encourage my child in homework and other opportunities for home learning. 
Attend parent’s evening and discussion about my child’s progress. 
Become actively involved in supporting my child’s life at the academy. 
To make sure learners’ academy uniform, kit and equipment are provided and organised for each day. 
To support academy procedures and systems for rewarding good behaviour and challenging 
disengagement. 
To treat all staff and learners at our academy with mutual respect. 
 
Temple Grove Academy shall endeavour to: 


Be open and welcoming at all times and offer opportunities for you to become involved in the life of the academy. 
Care for your child’s safety and well-being. 
Respond to parental concerns promptly. 
Keep you informed about general academy matters and about your child’s progress. 
Achieve high standards of work and behaviour through building good relationships and developing a sense of responsibility. 
Ensure that your child achieves her/his full potential as a valued member of the academy community. 
Provide a broad, balanced and coherent curriculum. 
Set and mark appropriate homework and provide facilities in the academy to support this learning. 
Set homework regularly to develop lifelong independent learning. 
To treat all pupils with Mutual Respect. 
 
 The pupil will endeavour to: 


Attend the academy regularly and on time with the correct equipment and attitude. 
Abide by the Academy behaviour and other academy policies. 
Do my best to achieve my full potential. 
Be polite and helpful to others. 
Work well as an individual and in groups to enable everyone to achieve. 
Involve myself in additional opportunities the academy provides. 
Respect and take pride in our environment and surroundings. 
Respect all individuals at our academy and in our local community. 
Treat the academy, its community and its property with Mutual Respect. 
Be a positive ambassador of Temple Grove Academy when in the community.
